Juggler Jelly Bean, *FootNotes* Style!

Today sucked eggs.

Not really. I'm only kidding. I'm actually doing well today. I'm filled with a quiet kind of contentment. Even though I'm fighting a headache, my back aches and I'm cold. I'm remembering again why I don't wear dresses that often in the winter. My legs have been chilled all day, despite a small blanket on them, and I haven't strayed too far from my chair all day... if I do get up, my legs will get cold again.

[I guess that's what I get for living in the Midwest, huh?]over here is the groovy-but-gratuitous graphic that may or may not have anything to do with the topic

Wow, writing my own *FootNotes* Entry is harder than it looks.

[How does this look Ms. SecraTerri? Can I get extra credit by offering you this lovely apple?]

I would like nothing more than to be home in my cozy jammies (have I mentioned them before? I believe I have) under a warm blanket reading one of the bazillion books I have just lying around begging to be read.

Today started out all gray and foggy and drippy. The dark, barren trees along the road on the way to work, combined with the fog made me think this is "The Hounds Of The Baskervilles" kind of weather.

A few hours ago it started snowing again. I just looked out the window again to discover the snowflakes are becoming *bigger*. This weather is a bit disheartening sometimes. I realize that is part of living in the Midwest, but sheesh... I need the sunshine forcryingoutloud.

I smile as I look at the "wallpaper" of my computer screen. When Hubby and I decided to go to *Arizona* for a long weekend in March, I found pictures (on the Internet, of course) of Arizona and the places we'll be visiting, the things we'll be doing, and even the car we are going to rent and I made a groovy collage out of them. This collage is now the "wallpaper" on both of our computer screens. Whenever things look bleak or gray or we're feeling frustrated, one of us will chant to the other "TU-CSON, TU-CSON, TU-CSON."

I'm thinking about that right now. And smiling.

Let's see now... in this entry I've included:

  • the snappy one-line opener
  • the equally snappy follow up paragraph with a few short sentences
  • a parenthetical comment
  • another short snappy sentence
  • a graphic
  • another parenthetical comment
  • a couple more paragraphs worth of narrative
  • some key *Footnotes* words and phrases
  • a bit of story
  • some stunt-writing
  • bullets

  • I still need:

  • to casually mention the notify list
  • a randomly added link to a previous Circus Life entry
  • a gratuitous product endorsement
  • a flashback maybe?
  • Hi Secra!
  • oh, I should drop some names, too. Wait... I've already done that.

  • Here is my *Flashback Paragraph*:
Punkin was about oh, maybe 6 months old and I was changing her. She was perched on top of the changing table and I had just gotten her all changed into an adorable little outfit. As she lay there smiling at me, I let my fingers quickly do the walking up her legs and tummy. I made a little laughing noise as I did it and brought my face down to hers. That's when I heard it for the first time.

    She laughed!

I did it again to make sure I really heard it, and I DID! She laughed again.

I called Hubby up to make sure that he heard it, too. Then, being the good parents that we (sometimes) are, we caught the moment on video tape.

    Well, um... stay tuned!

Here is the trendy link back to an old *FootNotes* entry!
My journal hasn't been around long enough to go back a year yet... it's only a matter of weeks, though
one year ago: a totem pole anniversary
seventeen years ago: early girls <--- wow!

before i have to kill somebody ...
help bring back Fast Lane Tea!
