Today Punkin announced she was the "Muffin Pan." A variation on the song "Muffin Man." I called her a gooney, and in a very serious voice she said "No Mom. Me Gus-Gus." (from Cinderella)

Thank you to Millie, Shelley, Billy and Tillie for a VERY cool anniversary gift! You'll hear all about it when we use that gift certificate!

--- Late Night Thoughts ---

Maybe a better title would be "Why Kelli should get to bed at a reasonable hour and not try to write an entry"

Here I sit in front of the computer. What is the attraction? I sit in front of a computer all day, then go to school to sit in front of another computer for four hours, only to come home to sit in front of yet another computer for another 90 minutes or so…

Damn. What would I do if the power went out?

It’s late on a Monday and I have to be awake for a little while longer until one load of laundry is done so that I have a certain outfit to wear for tomorrow. It’ really nothing special, but I like it, and I’m awake enough that I will go through what is necessary to be able to wear it tomorrow.

Plus, my class tonight has left me more alert and awake, and I know it would take me a little while to get to sleep. No, it wasn’t as interesting as last time, but I did learn about ftp, advanced searching and WinZip. Yeah… well… I have to take this class to get to the next one. Have I mentioned that already?

So, now I’m home and I’m typing this entry. I miss these entries, I really do. I’ve been busier at work and busier at home (with school) so I don’t get a chance to write as often as I did. I’m even behind in reading some of my favorite other journals.

Those of you who take the time to come and read my site, thanks for stopping back so often! If I haven’t heard from you, I'd like to! Really I would.

The truth is that I love to talk to people. I really do. People are so very interesting, don’t you think? You can learn so much by just watching and listening to people.

Some people have been through so much bad in their life and still have the time to reach out to others. Some only see all the wrongs that have been done to them and turn bitter and reject events and people that are happy. It is easier for them to pretend those happy people do not exist.

Some people are there for you no matter what. Through thick and thin. They allow you to have bad days. They listen without passing judgment or giving unsolicited advice.

Some people show us what not to be.

Some are a mirror of ourselves.

Some people show us what we could all be if we applied ourselves and were just nicer to other people. A former co-worker of mine once said, in total sincere astonishment, “Wow. Did you know if you’re nicer to people, they’re nicer back?” I was floored. How could someone not have learned that lesson before becoming an adult?

Some people bring us a different perspective on specific situations or life in general.

Some people bring us new ideas and thoughts about who we are, maybe even who we were in a past life, and offer up reasons for why we’re where we are in this life.

Some people love us unconditionally, no matter what.

Don’t we all need to have those people in our lives?

Shouldn't we all be one of those people?
